About Kayla

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kayla Brown and I am a full-time Senior Associate Broker with TYLER YORK Real Estate Brokers here in Nashville, Tennessee. I have specialized in working with people who are either buying or selling, and I love walking them through the exciting process of the real estate transaction!

In this market, with thousands of agents pining for your business, how does one choose who to hire? Which company should you go with? Why choose this agent over that agent and what are the services that are included?

These questions pulse through the minds of buyers and sellers daily, and my job is to make your decision simple and clear. Not all brokerages and agents offer the same services, and it is important to make an informed decision when selecting your Realtor.

I am not your average, everyday agent. I have a degree in Microbiology with a Minor in Chemistry and about a year of Dental School under my belt, which don’t easily correlate to my chosen profession… or do they? My focus is to use my experiences and expertise in order to put my clients on top. With real estate, I am able to use my critical thinking skills to strategically market your home and, whether you are buying or selling, selectively negotiate the terms in a purchase and sale agreement so that you are not only protected, but you are ready for whatever may come next.

Becoming a top-producing agent was not my lifelong dream. In fact, I wanted to become an Orthodontist from a very young age, and I came dangerously close to making that dream a reality. I was rounding off my first year of Dental School when I was diagnosed with a rare disease called Ewing’s Sarcoma. I came back to Nashville to undergo treatments when my then-fiance and I bought our first home. That is when I fell in love with the real estate transaction.

I love what I do - the proof is in the pudding! I’ve closed over $65 Million of real estate volume in just 5 years, and I’m still here to tell the tale! By selling residential real estate, I am helping people get into their home and start building their wealth. This is where you will curl up to a good book on cold winter days and watch the game with your friends every weekend. This is where you will host your first family gathering, burn your first home-cooked meal, and console your little one when she has her first fight with her best friend. So many firsts happen in a home, and it all starts with choosing your Realtor, looking at that first property, and submitting that perfect offer.

When I am not working, I divide my volunteer hours between Nashville’s Rally Foundation and other local outreach programs. I love to give back and will always find a way to donate a portion of each transaction to the betterment of the world. In my first year selling Real Estate, I was able to donate over $1000 to the Rally Foundation, and that number just keeps going up! $100 of every commission check is donated to a charity that I hold dear.

My life’s turns and twists have led me to this career which I love and I couldn’t be more happy about that. I like to enjoy my weekends on Nashville’s Greenways or in Edwin Warner Park with my husband and our dog.
